Tate 01

Okay, this definitely turned out differently than we fans expected!

For a while, October 1 had fans wondering what Tate McRae might be teasing. A new single? A new album? Maybe even a new tour announcement?

Well… none of the above.

Instead, Tate surprised everyone by announcing something completely different: her very first fragrance, Tate 01 – The Eau de Parfum by Tate McRae.

It marks a brand-new chapter for Tate outside of music and gives fans another way to experience her personal style and aesthetic.

What does Tate 01 smell like?

The fragrance is described with the following notes:

Fresh Bergamot. ISO E Super. Warm Ambers.

The official description sums it up perfectly:

“A signature scent that feels effortlessly you.”

With fresh bergamot bringing a bright opening, ISO E Super adding a smooth and modern character, and warm amber notes giving the fragrance a soft and sensual finish, Tate 01 sounds like a scent designed to feel intimate, effortless and personal.

Not the announcement fans expected

October 1 may not have brought us a new Tate McRae single, album or tour announcement, but launching her first perfume is certainly an unexpected surprise.

And the name Tate 01 immediately raises another question: could this be just the beginning of a whole fragrance collection?

For now, fans can look forward to discovering Tate 01 – The Eau de Parfum by Tate McRae and experiencing a completely new side of Tate.

Tate McRae Teases Victoria’s Secret Show Performance

Tate appears to be teasing a performance at this year’s Victoria’s Secret Show.

On September 29, Tate shared an Instagram Story saying, “yayy see u at Victoria’s Secret show” seemingly confirming that she will be part of the upcoming event.

While further details about her appearance have yet to be officially announced, the post strongly suggests that Tate will take the stage at this year’s Victoria’s Secret Show.
Fans can likely expect more information about the performance and the official lineup soon.

Is Tate McRae Teasing Something New for October 1?

Tate may have been teasing her next move for much longer than fans initially realized.

The photo at the center of the speculation was already posted by Tate on July 27, 2026 as part of her black-and-white promotional photo series. One of the images appears to feature the handwritten date “10.1”, which has now led fans to wonder whether something could be happening on October 1, 2026.

What makes the detail especially interesting is that this would not be the first time dates from the same visual campaign appeared to hint at upcoming events.

Back in July, Tate also teased August 1 and August 2, 2026 through the imagery. We now know what followed: she performed at Osheaga Festival and Lollapalooza around those dates.

That history makes the “10.1” marking on the July 27 post particularly intriguing.

If the earlier dates were deliberate clues, October 1 could potentially point to another announcement, appearance or release. One theory among fans is that Tate could be preparing to announce or release a new single.

However, it is important to note that nothing has been officially confirmed so far. The idea of a new single remains speculation.

Still, the fact that the image was posted all the way back on July 27 makes the possible tease even more interesting. If “10.1” really is a date, Tate may have planted the clue more than two months in advance.

Tate McRae Heads Into the 2026 MTV VMAs With Multiple Nominations

Tate McRae is heading into one of music’s biggest nights with three nominations at the 2026 MTV Video Music Awards.

Her “Nobody’s Girl” music video is nominated for:

  • Best Pop
  • Best Dance
  • Best Choreography

The three nominations are another major moment for Tate, especially as her performances and choreography have become such a huge part of her identity as an artist.

And naturally, fans are wondering whether she could take the VMA stage again.

Tate has already delivered memorable performances at the VMAs in the past, so another appearance would definitely feel fitting — especially with “Nobody’s Girl” receiving recognition in both music and performance-focused categories.

For now, however, Tate has not been officially announced as part of the 2026 performer lineup.
